Radcliffe Primary Stop Gove Campaign meeting 2nd November

The Department for Education is trying to force Radcliffe Primary school into becoming an academy. This is despite excellent SATs results this summer and a recent Ofsted inspection confirming that the school is improving.
The real reason for forcing the school to become an academy is that the DfE is unhappy with Bury Local Authority for not promoting academies.

A public meeting has been organised in the school at 6pm on Friday 2nd November. The main speaker will be Ivan Lewis MP.
A good attendance will encourage parents, governors and teachers to put up a stiff resistance to this forced academisation.

This privatisation of our schools is a disgraceful removal of democratic accountability.
