UCU campaign update:

In this week’s campaign update:

Further education funding: Corbyn backs our campaign
Our campaign for urgent investment in further education and funding for 15,000 more teachers received support from the Labour leader this week. Jeremy Corbyn pledged his support for the union’s Transforming Lives campaign in this excellent video message and added his name to our letter to the skills minister which you can sign here.

We are international: let’s keep it that way
As the uncertainty over Brexit continues we are campaigning to defend the rights of EU nationals working and studying in UK universities and you can find out more, download our pack and order posters and stickers here.
UCU also joined the many expressions of concern this week over US President Donald Trump’s executive order banning travellers from seven Muslim-majority countries and general secretary Sally Hunt spoke out against the policy at a Downing Street rally on Monday night. If you think you may be directly affected by the new US policy please contact mwaddup@ucu.org.uk.
