Support for cleaners fight continues Marina Prentoulis, for the Greece Solidarity Campaign, met the striking cleaners on 17 December at their year long picket on the steps of the Finance Ministry in Athens. She brought with her the most recent solidarity donations from the UK, £200 from the Fire Brigades Union and £500 from the London Cleaners Branch, Unite. If elected SYRIZA has promised to reinstate the 595 cleaners sacked for going on strike over a year ago as their wages were cut and the service privatised.
