Hi all,
Firstly an update on Alan Brown's case with Bromley Council:
At the last minute Alan's hearing, due to take place at 9am on Tuesday, was rescheduled to 11am, perhaps in the hope that the group of protesters outside would have left by then.
However, Alan's union rep was unable to make this time, so the hearing was cancelled.
Alan has now been given a new date for the hearing - Monday 24th August at 2pm.
There will be a protest outside from 12.30pm. Please get along and support if you can, and show Bromley Council that they can't avoid us that easily!
If you can't make it you can post messages of support in the facebook event here, or tweet using #reinstatealanbrown.

And don't forget...
Protest at the Tory Party Conference! The TUC has called a national demonstration at the Tory Party Conference in Manchester, on Sunday 4th October.
The People's Assembly is supporting the demonstration, and also organising a series of actions for every day of the conference.
We have booked a coach to go from South London to the demo on the Sunday, returning that evening. If you are interested in a ticket please emailsecretary@southlondonpa.org.
If your union branch or other organisation is able to donate towards the cost of the coach, please get in touch. Donations mean that we can keep the price of a coach ticket as low as possible, allowing more people to take part.
Best wishes, Sarah |
