Bursary or Bust Demo and Convoy to Calais Benefit Gig

On Saturday join us for the Bursary or Bust Demo in Central London. The Demo assembles at St Thomas' Hospital
Westminster Bridge Rd, SE1 7 London, United Kingdom at 1pm.

Please join and share the facebook event widely.

NHS bursaries are a LIFELINE for students - the cuts will affect podiatrists, physiotherapists, dental nurses, speech and language therapists, radiographers, occupational therapists, operating department practitioners, midwives, nurses, dieticians and other AHP's. These devestating cuts will run deep into the core of our NHS.

The imposition of a loan system is an attempt at breaking the tie between students and the NHS to pave the way for the complete dismantling of the health service in order to privatise and profit. NHS bursary cuts are simply the tip of the iceberg

Danielle Tiplady, Bursary or Bust said
"The government must think again about their cuts to NHS bursaries for nursing, midwifery and associated healthcare professionals. The independent economic analysis demonstrates how damaging they will be to the future workforce of the NHS. We must unite and stand against these cuts, before the Tories rip apart our NHS forever."
