Green Left understands that motions regarding the 2014-15 budget were passed at the General Meeting of Brighton and Hove Green Party on 14/12/2013. This may well mean that BHGP is now committed to not supporting the proposed budget, but to working with Brighton People’s Assembly to campaign against cuts to local services. Green Left regards this as a very welcome political development, not just for Brighton and the Green Party but for anti-austerity campaigning everywhere.
We are currently preparing a more detailed response to this very positive event.
