Solidarity Delegation to Athens - 14th-16th January 2017

We will be organising a Solidarity Delegation to Athens between 14th-16th January 2018 (please note the previously advertised date has changed) when we will meet with Greek politicians, trade unionists, activists and others to hear about the current conditions in Greece. Contact the Secretary Josephine Grahl on josephinegrahl@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more or in joining us.

Refugee Situation

As winter begins in Greece the refugee situation continues to be dire. Refugees are stuck on the islands in overcrowded conditions, unable to move to the mainland or be permanently settled; 19 international and local rights groups have written to the government urging them to end the policy of containment. Meanwhile in Athens 14 refugees have started a hunger strike in Syntagma Square to demand family reunification in Germany.
