Larry Herman's portfolios are collected by museums in several countries.
In the UK, the Museum of London, National Galleries of Scotland, Tate Britain, and the Victoria & Albert Museum, among others. His work is also collected by various trade unions and many individuals.
He has won several Arts Councils grants in Britain including their major Bursary. He has won grants from the Ford Foundation, the International Fund for Concerned Photography, and was a finalist in the International Fund for Documentary Photography, San Francisco.
His work is published throughout the world. He has participated in numerous multi-person shows, including the seminal: ART FOR SOCIETYexhibition at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London. He has had one-person shows in several countries.
He is a trade union activist in the National Union of Journalists in the UK. Originally from New York City, he immigrated to the UK during the Vietnam War.
