Jeremy Corbyn to Speak at Stop the War's Conference
We are very pleased to announce that Jeremy Corbyn MP, Labour leader, is coming to speak at our 'Time to stop the war' conference next month, which marks the 15th anniversary of the 'war on terror'. Jeremy has been a notable anti-war campaigner over decades, and his principled opposition to the 'war on terror' has been vindicated. His apology as Labour leader for the Iraq War was an important step forward. This weekend marks the 15th anniversary of 9/11, the terrible events in the US which then led to the war. We argued then that such a war would not succeed in its own terms, it would not make the world safer, and it would not reduce the threat of terrorism.

Fifteen years later, the failed interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria have brought misery to millions of people and have led to a more unstable and dangerous world. Jeremy will be joining a range of international speakers, including former Afghanistan MP Malalai Joya and the renowned peace activist Medea Benjamin from the US, to discuss issues including what next after Chilcot, arms sales to the Saudi regime, drones, the new Cold War and the Middle East wars. Please sign up now for this important conference and keep the anti-war movement a strong voice in British politics.
